She's a dope bassist hailing from Portland, Oregon. A gifted vocalist and musician, who taught herself violin at the age of 5, has managed to string souls from President Barack Obama to audience members at the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. She makes Black History month because I love how she reincarnates the image of African Americans playing instruments. Esperanza's debut single for 2012 is titled "Black Gold".
